Following the Bourbon Trail One Distillery At A Time; Wild Turkey Lived Up To It's Name

Took a personal day this past Friday and spent some time with the hubby, just the two of us. I had a personal errand to run which put us close to another Distillery.
Funny thing: we got lost.
Not so funny thing: to buy a map at the gas station was $10 dollars.
We decided to stay lost.
Being one not to mind to ask for directions we went on our way, found a small town with a sheriff's office on main street, asked a nice officer how to get to Wild Turkey and we were on our way.
How fun does this look to ride on?
That's one HUGE turkey!
Love the set up with barrel bars on either side of the tv
I want a bar like this
the inside of a clean tank. Found it extremely interesting. Weird I know.....
Nice to know that if a storm comes along I was in a safe place

As for the name of this post, yea, the place was a turkey as in, wish we had stayed lost. Bright point of the tour, one more stamp in my bourbon passport to turn in for a free t-shirt. Reminds me of the saying about kissing toads to find the prince......

    1. Oh Rose, that's what hubby said too! Though I do have a break in a few weeks. Think we'll escape that weekend too.

  2. That's a shelter area to be in when the weather is severe... you could just get drunk and not give two thoughts to the weather! Just make sure the potties are in working order.

    1. That day, I would have rather eaten a wild turkey than drink it ;)

  4. Wow $10 for a road map. I guess they are trying to cover up as not many people buy maps anymore as they have GPRS.

  5. $10 for a road map is CRAZY!
I's so glad that you get to have fun trips with your hubs! Its so nice to hear about couples doing fun things and not all the fighting that you often read about online.

    1. Oh we fight! We fought about how far do we go, lost, before we ask for directions. It was only when I said I would do the asking that we stopped ;o)
